Steve Querin joined the law firm as an associate in 1996 and became partner in 2002. Steve’s practice focuses mainly in the areas of commercial transactions, business organizations, purchases and sales of businesses, commercial financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions and real estate closings – both residential and commercial. Steve also has experience in collections and foreclosures and the representation of both lenders and borrowers in loan transactions and loan work-outs. Steve represents both buyers and sellers in real estate transactions – from as simple as the purchase of a residence to as sophisticated as the sale/financing of a multi-property commercial real estate portfolio. Steve is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in South Carolina.

Professional/Civic Activities: Steve has taught business law at USC Upstate’s George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics. He has served on the board of many nonprofit organizations in the Spartanburg community and has expertise in non-profit governance issues, including the City of Spartanburg’s Civil Service Commission, the City of Spartanburg's Downtown Development Committee, the Board of Trustees of The Ivey Foundation and the Board of Trustees of the Spartanburg Community College Foundation (Past-Chair). 

Awards/Honors: Inaugural recipient of the Honorable Bruce C. Littlejohn Spartanburg County Young Lawyer Award.
